The manufacturer of composite cartons and filling systems for beverages and liquid food, SIG Combibloc (Neuhausen / Switzerland) is investing around EUR 180 million in a second production plant for aseptic carton packs in China. The new production facility is located near the existing site in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) in Jiangsu Province.
By 2024, the new plant should cover an area of 120,000 m² and have an annual production capacity of 8 billion packs. “The Asia-Pacific region continues to be one of the most important growth engines for aseptic carton packs,” emphasized SIG CEO Samuel Sigrist.
