At least eight people died and six were seriously injured this Wednesday in two shootings in bars in the German city of Hanau, near Frankfurt, in the center of the country.
The shootings took place in two hookah smoking bars (shisha), with the suspects escaping, according to local media.
The first attack occurred at 9 pm local time (8 pm in Lisbon), in the center of Hanau, followed by another, in another part of the city.
Images of the police apparatus are being shared on social networks.
Witnesses say the attacker started shooting in a city center square from a black vehicle, which is being sought by authorities.
A suspect will have already been arrested.

The German media is still talking about a third shooting in Lamboy, which will not have caused fatalities. It is not known whether the attacks are related.
The motivations of the attacks are still unknown.
The city of Hanau is about 20 kilometers from Frankfurt, Germany’s financial center.
