A Siberian doctor who treated Kremlin critics Alexei Navalny has disappeared after he collapsed during a flight to Russia, Russian police said, quoted by Reuters.
Police in the Omsk region, about 2,200km east of Moscow, said doctor Alexander Murakhovsky left a hunting ground in an off-road vehicle on Friday and has not been seen since.
They added that emergency services, drones and volunteers were involved in the search.

Murakhovsky was the chief physician at the Omsk hospital in the Siberian city of Omsk, which treated Navalny, the most outspoken critic of President Vladimir Putin. Murahovski was subsequently promoted to regional health minister.
After intense negotiations with the authorities, Navalny was flown to Germany for further treatment.

Laboratory tests in three European countries, confirmed by an international chemical weapons supervisory body, found that Navalny had been poisoned with the Soviet nerve agent Novichok.
The Kremlin has repeatedly denied any allegations that Russian authorities tried to assassinate Navalny. He was jailed in February, but said the charges against him were fabricated.
