In the show “The Mistress is Looking for a Man”, four gentlemen competed for the heart of the popular singer Linita Mediņa – Valdis, Andris, Sandijs and Māris. On the first date, Linita went with Māris, but after that she returned home alone, because she decided that Māris’ participation in the show was over.
“It was like a show. I didn’t expect anything more, because she is a taller person than me, ”Māris comments in a conversation with Skaties.lv Linita’s rejection. The man did not have much hope that a relationship could be established between the two. “What am I a country boy with a singer?” Maris thinks. “Musically, maybe we would have had something in common.”

Well, Māris, who, as he admits, is as shy in life as shown on the TV show, explains that it was difficult to talk to Linita during the filming, and dating the two without the presence of cameras would most likely be much more productive.
“It’s hard to talk about life and everything else during the show. It’s filmed there, and it’s not like meeting in life. It would be completely different without cameras, ”says Māris.
“I’ve been alone for many years,” says the 49-year-old Kuldīga. Māris has a desire to build a relationship, but “there are all sorts of circumstances that do not allow”. The man also regularly helps his parents. “In summer, the garden should be watered, in autumn, in winter, the house should be heated so that it is warm and everything does not mold. I’m forced to live here, “he says.
Mara’s previous relationship lasted 12 years and she was blessed with children. “Now, eight years after my divorce, I live alone.
But it’s not that I don’t want a woman. Of course, I want the other half, ”says Maris. He does not give up and believes that he will meet his real and only one once. And there is already a turning point in this regard.-
