The police were informed shortly before 6 p.m. that a gunshot had been heard in a building in the Grand-Place, above a restaurant. Several people left the building immediately after the incident.
“Several police teams came to the area to control the area,” said local police spokesman Wouter Bruyns. “Three people were arrested on the basis of witness statements. Their possible involvement is currently under investigation. We do not currently have more information on any casualties or the background to the incident. “
