For six months, the lack of medication by the State Pension Institute of Jalisco (Ipejal) has been constant, so denounced Librada Ramírez, who has been a pensioner for 13 years.

Mrs. Librada explained that every three months the Ipejal gives them medical appointments, and currently her five medications were not given to treat her diabetes and hypertension.

“Unfortunately it is a problem that has not been solved for several months and unfortunately there are medications that one does need because they are a vital part of our health, especially now that we are with the problem of diabetes medications. they usually give two different ones and there are none, so they are for hypertension, ”he said.

This lack of medicines will generate an expense in the pocket of the Ramírez Medina family of approximately 1,500 pesos, money that the Ipejal will have to reimburse them, making various procedures.

“You have to go to the Dry Pile coordinator, there are lines to get to the coordinator, ok, that’s why you can buy medicine through a credit card, but from there you have to go to Ipejal to the unit Mayor’s administration, go to medical services, stand in line and carry endless requirements, this happened to me in 2019 and they ask you to the death certificate to do that procedure, as I authorize it, and then they do pay you money, but that is one of requirements, such a tremendous bureaucracy when the error, when the failures are theirs, ”he said

According to data from Ipejal, the supply of medicines is at 80 percent in their pharmacies and they indicate that the missing medicines have it in 90 keys that serve highly specialized patients.
