Two people were killed and another 21 people were injured during the mass shooting on Saturday night.
– Again, Norway is hit by a brutal attack on innocent people.
This is what Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre says during a press conference at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.
– Even though we do not know if the queer environment was the goal, the queer environment is regardless of the victim, he says.
He further says that this is also an attack on the entire Norwegian population.
– We stand together, and it was the entire Norwegian community that was hit by the shots last night. Together we will continue the fight to love who you want to be, and be who you are, Støre continues.
“Obvious problems”
He met the press on Saturday together with Minister of Justice Emilie Enger Mehl (Sp) and Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Anette Trettebergstuen (Labor).
– If this is Islamic terror, then many Muslims will feel vulnerable today and in the future. I know that many Muslims are scared and despairing. Only the person or persons behind it are responsible here. Let there never be any doubt, we will always fight for the community, says Prime Minister Støre.

– Friends shot after
– Last night, my friends were shot after, and innocent people were killed, says Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Anette Trettebergstuen during the press conference on Saturday afternoon.
Trettebergstuen says that many have called around and desperately tried to account for their friends on Saturday night.
– I’m so incredibly sorry. We were filled with love, then the rainbow was colored black, she says.
– We are many more here in Norway who love than those who hate. Today is the day to put our arms around each other in despair, understanding and grief, says Trettebergstuen, Trettebergstuen continues.
PST: Extraordinary threat situation
Raises the threat level
– The police’s advice is to act as normal, but be vigilant, says Minister of Justice Mehl at the press conference.
Mehl encourages anyone with information of interest to contact the police.
– I have been assured that the police have deployed all resources, she adds.
The shooting on Saturday night means that the threat assessment is raised from moderate to extraordinary threat situation.
This is what PST chief Roger Berg said in a press conference on Saturday.
PST raises the threat level on the grounds that they see that terrorist acts that are carried out have the potential to inspire others.
Defies the police recommendation
To drept
