According to Broccoli, the shooting for the new ‘James Bond’ film will only start in two years. Moreover, the search for a replacement for Daniel Craig has not even begun. During a private event in London, the producer said the following in an interview with ‘Deadline’. “At the moment there are no contenders yet,” said Barbara Broccoli. “At the moment there is no script yet. First we need to know clearly how we are going to approach the new film, because we want to reinvent Bond.” She continues: “Of course that takes some time. I estimate that the shooting will only start within two years.”

Last year Daniel Craig ended his adventure as 007 with ‘No Time To Die’ as the fifth film after almost sixteen years. The British actor was the sixth Bond after predecessors Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. Dwayne Johnson previously announced that he was interested in the role. Johnson isn’t the only actor aspiring to be the next James Bond. Regé-Jean Page, known for his role in ‘Bridgerton’, is the worldwide favourite. Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy are also names that pop up regularly.
