The head of government stressed that Ukrainian agrarians received “new opportunities for the development of their farms, for attracting investments, creating jobs.”

“All contracts of sale and purchase of land will be checked by notaries, funds from operations will go through banks. Land reform is about justice for every Ukrainian, and not about privileges for special people,” Shmyhal emphasized.

In March 2020, Ukraine adopted a law on the turnover of agricultural land. FROM July 1, according to the law, in Ukraine land market opened… From this day also earned land monitoring portal, which publishes data on the area of ​​alienated and transferred for use plots, prices, data on the area of ​​land acquired by one entity.

Until 2023, according to land turnover law agricultural purposes, only citizens of Ukraine will be able to buy land, but no more than 100 hectares of land in one hand, from 2023 the land will be allowed to be bought by legal entities – residents of Ukraine (no more than 10 thousand hectares in one hand). State and communal agricultural land will not be sold.

During the first day of the market operation, 61 agreements on ownership of agricultural land were registered, of which fell under the now lifted moratorium only three, said the Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko.

According to the calculations of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the cost of agricultural land is now in Ukraine about 50 thousand UAH per 1 hectare.
