Shin Tae-yong’s new assistant’s impression of the quality of Indonesian national team players

Jakarta

Dzenan Radoncic impressed with the quality of the players Indonesian National team. One of the three new assistant coaches has already led the Garuda Troops training.

Together with Kim Bong-soo and Shin Sang-gyu, Radoncic was recommended by Shin Tae-yong to become the assistant coach of the Indonesian national team. They replace Kim Hae-woon, Lee Jae-hong, and Kim Woo-jae who resigned since early August.

After a long wait, the three new assistants have joined the Indonesian national team in Thailand since Monday (4/10/2021). From several occasions, Radoncic has been able to see the quality of the Indonesian national team players.

“I think there are a lot of players with good quality and we have to improve our team work and of course score goals,” Radoncic told reporters.

“I’m sure we’ll do our best to win the next two games, because that’s what we came here for (Thailand),” he said.

For information, Radovic is a former foster child of Shin Tae-yong at Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma (Seongnam FC). They both presented the 2010 Asian Champions League title for Seongnam.

Despite being a Montenegrin citizen, Radoncic has played in the K League for a long time. Incheon United and Suwon Samsung Bluewings are the other Korean clubs he has played for.

Radoncic is also fluent in Korean because he has been playing there for a long time. No wonder he also had a special affinity with Shin Tae-yong until he was finally recruited into the Indonesian National team.

“There are no significant problems for me to adapt. For me they are a very good group of people and very accepting of me,” said the man born in 1983.
