Jakarta

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) respond to complaints Shin Tae-yong about quality Liga 1. The Indonesian national team coach assesses the quality of domestic competition is still lacking.

Called Shin Tae-yong in exclusive interview together detikSport, there is a correlation between the quality of competition in building the national team. Good competition is needed to produce quality players who can contribute in forming a strong Indonesian national team.

The Korean coach feels that his job in the Indonesian national team is tough, because he also has to equip the players with technical problems. In fact, according to him, the Indonesian national team’s training only focuses on preparing strategies.

PT LIB who heard this complaint also gave a response. The suggestions made by Shin Tae-yong will also be accepted as positive input for the good of Indonesian football.

“We really appreciate what Shin Tae-yong said, it is certainly a very positive input for the development of the league. We realize that the estuary of the competition is the best players born from competitive competition to strengthen the national team,” said PT LIB President Director Akhmad Lukita’s gift, to detikSport.

“And the assessment from the national team coach is certainly an objective to be an indicator of our league’s achievements so far. We at LIB have several focal points in quality development, from technical-administrative aspects, competition event organization, entertainment, industry, business, television shows, to don’t forget the technical quality of the game itself,” he added.

PT LIB admits that these various focuses have made some aspects of the competition not optimal. But operators have short-term and long-term targets that have also been set.

Lukita said the competition operators had tried their best to carry out their duties. It’s just a matter of how the operator perfects a strict standardization and can be accepted or translated well by the club Liga 1including in nurturing the players.

“Indeed, this is also systemic, meaning that fundamental things must be prepared by operators and PSSI in regulations and practical guidelines such as qualification standards for coaches and their supporting assistants, preparing technical and physical training curriculum standards and methods. Then the club recruits a coaching team according to the qualifications and infrastructure support. and football technology,” said Lukita.

“For short term we have done it by forming a Technical Study Group (TSG) team that is connected to the PSSI Engineering Department, why? So that there is synchronization in scouting, analysis, data and statistics, so that they are aligned in coach development and communication with the national team coach. It’s not 100 percent yet, but at least we’re starting to take this effort step-by-step, so hopefully there will be progress from the competition and in sync with the national coach program,” he said.
