The men’s descent was canceled by a strong wind
The organizers canceled the men’s World Cup convention in Beaver Creek, USA. The reason was a strong gust of wind, the APA agency reported.
The jury first postponed the start originally scheduled for 20.00 CET several times, but as the weather conditions did not improve, it had to cancel the race.
The descent did not take place on the second attempt either, it was originally supposed to take place on November 26 in Lake Louise, but they had to recall it after heavy snowfall.
Super-G didn’t go to the Canadian resort for the same reasons. In North America, the downhill skiers completed only four of the originally planned six competitions in speed disciplines.
