Al-Marsad newspaper: Turkish journalist Hadia Levent has questioned the nationality of Ahlam al-Bashir, accused of carrying out the Istanbul bombing.
Levent said it has become clear that Ahlam al-Bashir, who is accused of carrying out the Istanbul bombing, does not have Syrian nationality, according to various media reports, which speak of a high possibility that he is Somali.
He indicated that he tried to verify this information and concluded that the attacker could be from North Africa, noting that there are contradictions as to when the attacker arrived in Turkey via Afrin and whether the attacker had already crossed the border or not .
It is worth noting that the Istanbul blast occurred on Sunday afternoon on Istiklal pedestrian street in Istanbul’s central Beyoglu district, killing 6 people and injuring 81 others.
