Melbourne – The German tennis Olympic champion Alexander Zverev missed the quarterfinals of the Australian Open on Sunday. The 24-year-old lost 3-6, 6-7 (5-7), 3-6 to Canadian Denis Shapovalov and continues to have a poor record against top players in Grand Slam tournaments. The German number one has only won one of the last eight matches against professionals in the top 20.
