Sevilla hero De Jong sets sights on Orange: ‘National coach must be type-Koeman’

Luuk de Jong was able to enjoy his Europa League win with Sevilla this weekend with family and girlfriend.

“The release after the game was nice and the party then continued until half past four in the hotel”, said the striker, who received congratulations from his former trainers Ronald Koeman, Phillip Cocu and Mark van Bommel.

Security keeps Seville fans at bay

According to De Jong, who was named man of the match after the 3-2 final against Internazionale because of his two effective headers, it was “special” to not be able to celebrate Seville’s sixth Europa League title with the fans.

On return to the hotel in Cologne, security had to keep the euphoric Sevilla fans at bay due to the corona rules. “That was difficult, because of course you prefer to have a picture with them, but that was not possible.”
