More satisfaction was to be found in the other camp, that of the 13 women who, according to the prosecutor, had been inconvenienced by the many, sometimes explicit messages from De Pauw. 9 of them had filed civil proceedings, but in the end the judge ruled that De Pauw had committed criminal offenses only against 5 ladies (mainly harassment – in other words stalking – and with one of them, an old business partner of De Pauw, it was for both charges: electronic nuisance and harassment).
