Seven arrests after TV program about police dog association Inland

The SBS6 TV show showed that dogs were abused. For example, a flow bar was used when training.

The police report that four arrests were confiscated on Monday, and that prong chains and other prohibited items such as power attributes were also found.

The police had previously indicated that they no longer do business with the trainers who can be seen in the images whose identity is known. If it is known that a trainer mistreats animals, the police will no longer take dogs from this trainer, the police repeats Monday. The association is not part of the police organization.

The arrested persons live in the municipalities of Doetinchem, Montferland, Oude IJsselstreek and Elburg. They are heard about their share, after which a file is drawn up. The file is sent to the Public Prosecution Service for further criminal settlement.

Sheltered animals

The confiscated dogs are housed in an appropriate shelter.

The KNPV main board said that after broadcasting they withdrew the recognition of a number of associations after seeing the images and filing a report.
