Seskam ranks third in the Sardinian Rally JWRC and maintains the overall position – Motorsport – Car

On Saturday, the Latvian crew returned to the track and won five of the six special stages, but in the tenth “dopa” it ranked sixth. The demonstrated performance allowed Seska’s crew to climb to the third position in the junior classification.

On Sunday, Sesks and Franci were second behind Sami Pajari in all three special stages, which allowed him to keep the third place. The victory was celebrated by the Swedish Tom Christenson from Sweden, the second with a deficit of more than 11 minutes was Paraguayan Fabricio Zaldivars, but Sesks was almost half an hour behind.

In the JWRC class, all athletes start with Ford Fiesta vehicles.

In the overall standings, Sesks was in the fourth place, but the victory was celebrated by the Spaniard Dani Sordo (“Hyundai”), who was 5.1 seconds ahead of his teammate Terrier Neville from Belgium, but the Frenchman Sebastian Ogie (“Toyota”) was another second behind.

Elfins Evans from the United Kingdom (“Toyota”), the Finnish leader, settled for the fourth place.

The theme is Suninen (“Ford”), but the sixth was last year’s champion, Estonian Ots Tenaks (“Hyundai”).

Two stages before the end of the championship, the leader with 111 points is Evans, followed by Ojie with 97 points, but Neville scored 87 points.

In the first stage of the season JWRC, Sesks and Francis in Sweden won the second place, conceding only to Tom Christenson, but in the second stage in Estonia they took Latvia’s first victory in this class. This year’s stage of the World Junior Championship is also planned in Belgium (November 19-22).

Last year, Sesk had a debut year driving a front-wheel drive Ford Fiesta R2 at the World Junior Championships. In JWRC class in 25 stages Seska’s crew managed to finish in the top three, in the stages they won three rallies.
