Service message: iOS 14 b4 camera doesn’t mix well with AirPods

An annoying bug has appeared with the fourth beta of iOS 14 outing during the week. If you’re using AirPods and want to take a photo or video, you’ll quickly get stuck in the Camera app:

In these conditions, it is impossible to take a photo or launch a video, the app is unusable. As Xavier tells us, this is directly related to Apple headphones, and again, only when the AirPods are in use. You can temporarily change the audio output on the affected iPhone or iPad to take a photo.

Another perhaps more practical solution that I was able to test: the bug only affects the Camera app designed by Apple, not third-party apps. If you have an alternative on your iPhone, like I did with Halide, you can use it when you want to take a photo with your AirPods in place. While waiting for the fix with the fifth beta of iOS 14 which should arrive around August 18, if all goes well.
