The people’s deputy took a decree for 11 days to “enjoy fatherhood and help his wife take care of her daughter.”
People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People Party Pavel Frolov, whose daughter was born two months ago, went on maternity leave. About it informs press service of the party.
“He was the first among his colleagues to take leave under the new law on equal opportunities for mothers and fathers to take care of a child, which is popularly called a” decree for dad, “the message says.
According to the people’s deputy, he loves his daughter and believes that she needs his attention from the first days of her life. And because of the active work schedule, he rarely had such an opportunity.
“I go to work very early, I come late, weekends are all at work. In addition to voting directly in the session hall, a lot of time is spent on legislative work, committee meetings, business trips and broadcasts,” Frolov said.
So he decided to take maternity leave to “enjoy fatherhood and help his wife take care of her daughter.”
The people’s deputy added that he wanted to show by his own example that there is such an opportunity.
According to him, he took the decree for 11 days.
