Serie A Played down talk of Barcelona move

Matthijs de Ligt has played down talk of a future move to Barcelona and insisted that he plans to stay at Juventus.
His former Ajax teammate, Frenkie de Jong, had suggested that the defender could still end up playing at the Camp Nou later in a few years’ time after turning down a move there in the summer.
“I feel very good in Turin, even though it’s very different to Amsterdam,” De Ligt stated.
“I hope to stay here for a long time.
“I feel happier at Juve every day. Being at a club like this can only feel like an honour.
“I’ve always liked Juve; they’ve had great champions and it’s a privilege to wear this shirt.”
De Ligt has been playing alongside Leonardo Bonucci at the back for the Bianconeri and revealed how useful that has been to him.
“I learn a lot by his side,” the Dutchman said of Bonucci.
“We’re a great partnership and I’m improving every day.”
