The intelligence service was apparently of limited use on Sunday noon. Over 20,000 users reported problems sending messages. The problem now seems to be fixed.
Within an hour, over 16,000 messages were received on the “allestault.de” portal on Sunday. The Whatsapp-Users mostly report problems sending and receiving messages. However, there are no problems when starting the app. Around 1 p.m., more than 20,000 people reported problems on the portal.
Above all, the users complained in the comments that they could only send text messages via the messenger service. The transmission of videos, pictures and other message formats is not possible. WhatsApp had not officially commented on the failure.
In the meantime, however, the malfunction seems to have been rectified and the number of malfunction reports has dropped to just under 2,000.
