Senate adopts rules for Trump | Abroad

The leader of the Democrats in the Chuck Schumer Senate had submitted eleven proposals, all of which were voted down by the Republican majority. That happened after hours of debates that lasted well into the night.

Schumer wanted a summons to go to get documents from the White House. It concerned documents from, among others, the Pentagon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the White House that had to withhold military support to Ukraine at the request of President Donald Trump.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. Dutch time, the trial against the president continues with the opening statement by the prosecutors.
