American pop star Selena Gomez poses in a new Instagram photo in a swimsuit. The picture clearly shows her scar as a result of her kidney surgery in 2017.

On Thursday, the 28-year-old singer shared a photo of her posing in a baby blue swimsuit, which was taken by her good friend and designer Theresa Mingus. She elegantly stretches out next to a circular pool and positions her foot on a boulder at the edge.
This pose makes it easy to see the scar on her right leg that she has since her kidney transplant three years ago. The text accompanying the snapshot is about the cut on the inside of her thigh.
“When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it was very difficult to show my scar at first,” wrote the 28-year-old. “I didn’t want it in photos so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I have faith in who I am and what I have experienced and I am proud of that. ”
Selena Gomez is suffering from lupus. She would not have survived the disease without her best friend Francia Raisa’s donor kidney.
