Seiko Revives 1969 Speedtimer with Limited Edition Prospex Model for Automotive Enthusiasts
Seiko has released a special edition Prospex Speedtimer Chronograph (ref. SSC959P1) inspired by European cars of the 1960s and its own 1969 Speedtimer. The solar-powered chronograph features a beige dial, reminiscent of vintage aesthetics, and maintains the durability of the original Speedtimer.
Three black counters are positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, contrasting against the champagne-colored dial.A date window sits between the indexes. The 39mm stainless steel case measures 13.3mm thick and 45.5mm long.
The watch includes a stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold push-button release clasp, and an interchangeable sand-colored perforated leather strap. A tachymeter scale is featured on the steel bezel. The dial is protected by a curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.
This limited edition follows the launch of the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Chronographe tokyo 2025 with a lilac dial earlier this year.
