One of the most important models of the Seat brand has undergone modernization, which brings a rejuvenated look, a redesigned interior and richer technological equipment.

More modern exterior
The traditionally youthful exterior of Seatu Ibiza has undergone minor changes that have affected all trim levels. The biggest novelty is the headlights with 100% LED Eco-LED technology from the standard equipment, which promise better visibility and lower electricity consumption. However, Full LED headlights are also available on request.
When viewed in profile, the three new light alloy wheel designs are available, available with a rim diameter of 17 inches (two new designs) or 18 inches. When looking at the stern, the new designation of the model in embossed handwriting is especially interesting, which is a design element that Ibiza takes over from the newer siblings in the offer.
In addition, the bow and stern are decorated with the new SEAT logo with a finish in two shades of chrome – the front is matte, while the edges are glossy. The range of varnishes has expanded by two shades – Sapphire blue and Asphalt blue, so a total of customers can choose from 9 varnishes.

Revolutionary interior
While the exterior has undergone only a decent evolution, the interior should present a design revolution. As the carmaker states – its dynamic character should be emphasized by new materials, technologies and new lighting systems, which should create a higher level of perceived quality overall.
Ibiza got a brand new instrument panel with a soft surface, newly designed ventilation vents or a new multifunctional ergonomic steering wheel sewn with Nappa leather (standard on Xcellence and FR equipment, optional for Style). The cab also offers new upholstery and a new ambient LED lighting system, which in the FR and Xcellence versions lines the new ventilation vents.
In addition, depending on the level of equipment selected, the light has different shades – Daring Red (FR), Burgundy (Xcellence) or Honey (Style and Reference).
Technological innovations
From the technological point of view, the biggest interior innovation is the floating central display of the information and entertainment system, which dominates the dashboard. Compared to its predecessor, it has grown by about 20%, so in the standard version it offers a diagonal of 8.25 inches and the additional version offers a diagonal of up to 9.2 inches. The elevated position promises greater practicality and safety, and in combination with the 10.25 “Digital Cockpit, the interior of the modernized Seat Ibiza becomes fully digital.

Of course, the new infotainment offers full connectivity and thanks to the Full Link system, it is possible to use the functions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Infotainment can be controlled by touch, buttons on the steering wheel or by voice – the modernized Ibiza already hears the slogan “Hola Hola”. Two USB-C ports are used to connect your own devices, either for connection to the infotainment system or for charging.
Last but not least, the new Ibiza also received a Seat Connect system with an integrated eSIM card. The car thus offers the eCall function, the possibility of easy communication with the car manufacturer (for example for service) or the support of the Seat Connect App for remote access to the car. At the same time, it offers the possibility of remote control of the car, as well as its locking, route planning, activation of lights or monitoring of the car’s movement.
Safety and engines
With the modernization, the offer of safety and assistance functions also expanded. The rejuvenated Ibiza will offer, for example, a partially automated Travel Assist system, active Lane Assist lane monitoring, a Side Assist lane change assistant or a new high beam assistant.

The new Ibiza is available with a total of five drives. In four cases, it is a classic internal combustion engine, working with direct injection technology, while the fifth drive is on compressed natural gas (CNG). However, this engine is also equipped with a petrol tank.
The basic engine for the rejuvenated Ibiza is a three-cylinder 1.0 TSI 95 hp engine with a maximum output of 70 kW and a torque of 175 Nm, which can only be combined with a five-speed manual. The more powerful version of the 1.0 TSI 110 k liter three-cylinder offers the highest output of 81 kW and 200 Nm of torque. The transmission of torque to the wheels can be provided by both a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG. The most powerful engine for the new Ibiza is the 1.5 TSI 150 hp four-cylinder petrol engine, which offers the highest output of 110 kW and 250 Nm of torque.
In the CNG version, the Seat Ibiza is equipped with a 1.0 TGI 90 hp powertrain, offering the highest output of 66 kW and 160 Nm of torque, which is combined exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. Compared to an equivalent petrol engine, the CNG version promises up to 25% lower CO emissions
2 and up to 50% lower cost per kilometer.
