Seat factory asks employees to eat separately in canteen without vaccination | Financial

According to the company, this should protect all staff against the corona virus and ensure operational activity at the factory with approximately 11,000 employees.

Recommendation

It is not an obligation, but a recommendation of the company. Vaccination is not mandatory in Spain. Seat, a subsidiary of the German Volkswagen, therefore says that it cannot force employees to eat separately. According to the company, 96 percent of the employees at the car factory are vaccinated and face masks are mandatory in the workplace, except in the cafeteria.

The recommendation for eating in separate areas has been approved by the unions and has been in effect for a month. A union leader at Seat says five workers have eaten separately this week.
