A man is said to have fallen overboard early Sunday evening, in the Miradouro do Guindaste area, Faial, Santana municipality. The accident prompted searches for two semi-rigid vessels, one from the Captaincy of Funchal and the other from SANAS. The Santana Firefighters were also mobilized to the site.
The warning for this fall, apparently without the intervention of third parties, was given around 8:30 pm. Without the person being found and at nightfall, for security reasons the Captaincy decided to suspend the search for the sea, which will be resumed as soon as the day dawns. But on land, until recently, the Santana Fire Department remained in place.
