Sean Penn is secretly married to his girlfriend Leila George, 31 years his junior. The 59-year-old actor gave the 28-year-old actress the year word four days ago.
Penn tells in Late Night with Seth Myers that the marriage was entirely “corona proof”. “We had a COVID marriage,” Penn laughs. “This means that an official was present at our home via Zoom. The guests consisted of my two children and her brother and so we did it.”
According to Penn, the wedding caused much less stress. “Let me put it this way: the lack of a lot of social factors feels very liberating.”
Penn and George have been together for four years. For him, this is his third marriage, having previously been married to Madonna and Robin Wright. Two children were born from that last marriage: Dylan and Hopper. In addition, Penn had a short-lived relationship with actress Charlize Theron in 2014.
