Scientists propose to build vehicles to prevent foreign bodies from approaching the Earth

Techno live – Tim scientist have proposed building an ‘interstellar interceptor’, a airplane spacecraft capable of approaching the next asteroid or comet to enter the solar system.

So far, astronomers have seen two such objects hurtling through our star system: the cigar-shaped Interstellar Visitor.Oumuamuawhich was first seen in October 2017 and comet 2I/Borisov, which was first discovered in August 2019.

Sending probes to investigate interstellar objects will allow astronomers to more accurately photograph the surface of space rocks, potentially including sampling gas escaping from comet intruders such as 2I/Borisov.

But by the time telescopes detect such an interstellar object, it’s too late to design, build, and launch spacecraft to pursue it, so these travelers end up cruising through our star system and carrying most of the secrets with them as they go.

Oumuamua asteroid.

To overcome this problem, the researchers proposed and submitted the ARXIV preprint database on Nov. 3 yesterday, starting on the Live Science website on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022.

Studies show that the Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) must build and launch an interstellar interceptor capable of waiting patiently in distant orbit Land.
