Scientists have identified a possible way to transmit cancer from person to person

Scientists have hypothesized that cancer can be transmitted from person to person.

This was reported by Focus.de, referring to a study called “People and Microbiomes”, which was conducted by a group of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Study with the participation of German professor Thomas Bosch from Christian Albrecht University of Kiel.

Researchers believe that many diseases that are classified as non-communicable can still be transmitted from person to person, but not through infection, such as the flu, but through a microbiome.

“A microbiome is a term used to refer to microorganisms that exist in our body – on the skin, in organs. Most of them are tiny bacteria, but they also include fungi and viruses. They are extremely important for human health: they help digestion, secrete nutrients or remove toxins, “the publication says.

According to proponents of the hypothesis, such microbial colonization of the human body can play a role in the transmission of diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.

However, this view is not proven and accepted by the medical community. Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) suggest that these diseases cause a combination of genetic predisposition, lifestyle, and environmental factors, and they are not transmitted from one person to another.
