Schröcksnadel speaks out against parallel competitions

In the discussion about the parallel races, Austria’s association president Peter Schröcksnadel has now also spoken out against the format. “As it is for me, I would leave them out,” said Schröcksnadel to the Ö3 radio.

The duels played in one run were sporting unfair. “But for me the main problem is: a lot of people get hurt for the amount of competitions.” Two years ago, he had thought differently and saw the parallel races as a replacement for the unpopular super combination.

“I am in favor of keeping the super suit, which worked well in Wengen, and not the parallel races,” said Schröcksnadel in another conversation with the daily newspaper “Der Standard” on Wednesday.
