Schramböck leaves help open for the AUA

economy

Economics Minister Margarete Schramböck (ÖVP) left open in an interview with “ZIB2” today whether there will be state aid for the AUA. “We’ll look at that,” she said. It is about finding “individual solutions” for the country’s large corporations.

It remains uncertain whether the AUA will get start-up aid from the state.

To criticize the fact that some shops will be able to keep open from tomorrow, others not – although they are more spacious than bars that are allowed to open – Schramböck emphasized that “we are still far from opening at the same time”. Experiences from other, successful countries in the fight against the corona virus were used here.

Regarding the opposition’s demands for more parliamentary control, Schramböck referred to the treatment in parliament and controls by the Court of Auditors. The Minister emphasized that dividends paid by companies receiving government funding in the wake of the virus crisis are now prohibited.
