TSV Hartberg started with a surprising victory at the LASK in the master group – so it runs with the Upper Styrians. How it is after the season with coach Markus Schopp is the big question. The 46-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season. Before the game against FC Red Bull Salzburg, Schopp commented on the current situation in a Sky interview.
“The question is whether the environment enables further development. There are very specific approaches that are very important to me and Erich knows that (note: TSV chairman Erich Korherr) and Hartberg knows that. Accordingly, there is an exchange but a decision has not yet been made because it is a very important decision for me too. ”, the Hartberg trainer is reluctant.
For Sky expert Marc Janko, the words of the Hartberg trainer sound more like goodbye. “Schopp is ready for the next step and Hartberg – with all due respect for the club and the environment – simply cannot offer him the opportunities he is ready to implement.”
