Bringing all the students back to school in attendance on 9 December: the hypothesis on which the Movimento Cinque Stelle and Italia Viva are pressing in these last hours. A decision has not yet been taken: the issue could be addressed – but not said – at the summit of the heads of delegation scheduled for tomorrow. Yesterday Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte did not rule out the possibility of reopening all the institutes in December and for the first time, after days, the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza also opens to the possibility that all students return to school before the Christmas holidays: as much as possible to reopen schools in December, we must see the epidemiological picture, evaluating it day by day. Schools are and remain a top priority for the government, he told Floris’ broadcast of La7, Tuesday. Evaluations in this sense – concluded Speranza – are expected in the coming days. The first useful date would be that of 9, after the expiry of the current Dpcm. To push in this direction are also several parliamentarians, who wrote a letter to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, while there would be some majority pieces (of the Democratic Party, in particular) against: according to rumors, it would have been Minister Dario Franceschini who blocked a letter from the deputies of the Education Commission always addressed to Conte to solicit the reopening of classes.
The position of Minister Lucia Azzolina notes: she too is pressing to reopen, has never stopped repeating it even by openly opposing the initiatives of some governors, see De Luca in Campania and Emiliano in Puglia. And in fact tomorrow he will meet the mayors of the ten metropolitan cities to see if the conditions are right. Strong of the support of scientists: even from the latest data available, the school, says the president of the Higher Council of Sanit Franco Locatelli, contributes in an absolutely marginal way to the transmission curve of the virus.
