After the holidays, the schools could now face new corona measures.
Last Wednesday, Austria’s students went back to their classes. The first test round after the holidays was shocking: The Ministry of Education reported around 2,300 schoolchildren who tested positive for the coronavirus using PCR tests. Vienna reports the most cases (707), whereas in Burgenland there were only 47.
The number of cases has exploded compared to the week before the holidays: At that time there were almost 1,000 fewer cases – with three tests.
