Lukas Schmitz is hiring in the Netherlands. The left-back is drawn to VVV Venlo. According to the club, Schmitz will receive a contract with the Eredivisie club until 2022 plus an option for another season.
The former Düsseldorf native comes free of charge from Wolfsberger AC. Schmitz had joined the Austrian club two years ago and has played 62 competitive games since then. In the Bundesliga, the left foot ran 104 times for Schalke and Bremen.
