“It seems to us that the reduction procedure has been violated. We are laid off as unemployed. But our employment depends on the director and artistic director. We all have high qualifications, but at first they did not take us anywhere, and then they decided to lay off. Some were not offered work at all. Someone has been pulled out of performances during this year. Instead of these artists, students were brought in, who will graduate from Oleg Evgenievich Menshikov, our artistic director. At the same time, he did not meet with us, he did not explain the situation, ”said Anna Skvarnik, actress of the Yermolova Theater.
Skvarnik said that with the arrival of Oleg Menshikov in the theater in 2012, the repertoire has changed dramatically, and some of the artists were not involved. At that time, it was the entire troupe of Vladimir Andreev. Many actors left the Yermolova Theater at the same time. It was decided to part with the rest now.
