An illegal shooting range was set up on the territory of a former children’s camp in the Darnytskyi district.

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting investigative actions on the territory of the municipal enterprise Municipal Varta in Kiev in the framework of the case of illegal handling of weapons. This is reported Online special services on Friday, June 18.

It is indicated that the unlawful activities of a group of persons who set up an illegal shooting range on the territory of a former children’s camp in the Darnytsia region were exposed.

“The pre-trial investigation established that members of the Municipal Warta were involved in the organization of the landfill. Shooting training was carried out using unregistered firearms,” ​​the statement said.

In addition, the members of the group stored ammunition, explosives and weapons, illegally moved from the JFO zone.

During searches in the premises of the defendants, the following were found and seized: RPG-22 grenade launcher; 400 g of TNT, two cases of RGD-5 grenades, a semi-automatic KRISS pistol made in the USA, almost a hundred rounds of various calibers, a significant amount of hunting rifled weapons.

Now the issue of notification of suspicion of persons involved in the proceedings under the article on illegal handling of weapons and ammunition (Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is being resolved.
