SBM Offshore set to work on Australian LNG project | Financial

SBM will take care of the maintenance and operation of a floating LNG installation. This is designed to commercialize a series of stranded projects. The project is also supported by Kyushu Electric Power and Mitsui OSK Lines, but SBM has negotiated exclusivity when it comes to maintenance and operation for the ship with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, Transborders said.

The client believes that when the ship is ready, a series of stranded projects will be ready for final investment decision within 24 months.
