Tell me – The Saudi embassy in Amman announced the cancellation of work, visit and residence visa stickers issued by some Saudi representations in seven countries, including Jordan, and replaced them with a printed visa.
The embassy said in a press statement, on Tuesday, that the Saudi ambassador to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, met in his office with the consular work team who is currently visiting Jordan to find out the mechanism for implementing the cancellation of the sticker of work, visit and residence visas on the passport, and the transition to an electronic visa that is printed on a paper form. And the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a new initiative to cancel the visa sticker on the beneficiary’s passport, switch to the electronic visa and read its data via the rapid response (QR) code.
The ministry stated that this procedure comes as a continuation of the procedures for automating and raising the quality of consular services provided by the ministry, and for developing the mechanism for granting visas (work, residence, and visit).
The procedure has been activated in a number of countries since the beginning of May.
