For minutes on Sunday night, lights whizzed through the night sky. The Eschenberg observatory received numerous calls about this.

“The calls started on Saturday night,” says Markus Griesser, head of the Eschenberg observatory. “People got in touch again on Monday morning.” The reason: On Saturday at around 11 p.m., lights could be seen in the sky for minutes, which flitted through the sky in quick succession. “The people were in a state of excitement. Some have probably already believed that we had visitors from beyond the earth, ”says Griesser.
No UFOs – but not harmless either
However, Griesser was able to reassure the callers and identify the unidentified flying objects: They were not alien spaceships, but a group of “Starlink” satellites belonging to Tesla founder Elon Musk. It is also not the first timethat concerned citizens contacted Griesser about this. “It’s just a very unusual sight.”
