Saraya Recounts Infamous Cattle Prod Prank on Titus O’neil During WWE Swerved
During a recent appearance on “Insight Wiht Chris Van Vliet,” Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, shared a memorable adn somewhat controversial prank from the WWE network’s hidden-camera show, “WWE Swerved.” The series, which featured regulars like Dolph Ziggler, Kofi kingston, The Miz, and Saraya herself, aimed to capture genuine reactions from WWE Superstars to elaborate pranks.
Saraya admitted to becoming a “menace” on the show after being given a cattle prod.She recalled using it on various individuals backstage, describing the experience as “really bad.” The situation escalated when she unexpectedly pranked Titus O’Neil, who, unbeknownst to Saraya at the time, was on a “no-prank list.”
“I actually turned into a menace because thay gave me a cattle prod,” Saraya stated. “I was a nightmare with that.So they gave it to me and I was going around backstage and just zapping everybody with it. It was really bad. Then I got Titus O’Neil, who I didn’t know was on the no-prank list. So I zapped him, and he f***ing lost his mind, and he’s the nicest guy ever. Just an angel. I’ve never seen so mad.”
The aftermath of the prank led to a period of awkwardness,with O’Neil reportedly not speaking to Saraya for a couple of weeks. He eventually reported the incident to Vince McMahon. saraya recounted being called into McMahon’s office, where he humorously instructed her to cease “assaulting people backstage” and to put down the cattle prod.
“WWE Swerved,” created by jeff Tremaine, ran for two seasons starting in 2015. The show was known for its elaborate pranks and the candid reactions of WWE talent. In another instance mentioned by Saraya, she and dolph Ziggler (now Nic nemeth) participated in blind dates where they were subjected to random shocks via a dog collar, with Saraya’s being concealed on her leg. Saraya also agreed to punch a crew member disguised as a restaurant waiter as part of a prank.
