Thiruvananthapuram: Famous writer Sara Thomas passed away. He was 88 years old. He was notable as a novelist and short story writer. He has won many awards including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award.
Born in 1934 in Thiruvananthapuram. River of Life is the first novel. Notable works are Narmadipudava, Thanneerpanthal, Kaveri and Yatra. Narmatipupadava was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1979.
Novels Murippadal, Pavizhamut, Asthamayam and Archana became themes for movies.
