Sarah Jessica Parker is living the high life in the Big Apple. The actress has bought several properties and has just sold one of her houses for a tidy sum. As reported by New York Post, the star and her husband Matthew Broderick parted ways with a West Village residence for $ 15 million.
According to legal documents obtained by the tabloid, Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband therefore sold this house bought in 2000 for only 2.9 million, thus making a capital gain of $ 12.1 million! The house, in red stones and on three floors, has a living area of almost 390m². This pretty house, which dates from 1905, is precisely located on Charles Street, not far from the residence which served as the setting for the hectic life of Carrie Bradshaw, the legendary character played by the actress in the cult series Sex and the City.
Sarah Jessica Parker (55) and Matthew Broderick (58) had chosen the greatest discretion for this sale since their property did not appear publicly with any real estate agency. The visits and the transaction took place in secrecy, with buyers handpicked. Moreover, the identity of the new buyer remains a mystery since the house was bought through a company. As does not fail to underline the Post, the lovers – married since 1997 and who have three children – had bought two houses in 2016 on West 11th Street. Cost of the operation: $ 34.5 million. Obviously, with all this money the star can afford to rob Manolo Blahnik.
Career side, Sarah Jessica Parker could well return in a reboot of Sex and the City as the American press announced last December.
