Sanidade lowers the alert level of Tomiño and includes Narón among the 11 municipalities in red

The Ministry of Health has included the Coruña municipality of Narón in the maximum alert level, 3 – red -, due to the situation of the pandemic in the last seven days, which is also still in force in 10 other municipalities. On the contrary, Tomiño’s situation, which this Tuesday was in red, has been lowered to orange –level 2–.

The Xunta indicates that Narón has more than 21 cases of covid-19 confirmed by PCR in the last seven days, with which its alert level rises to 3.

With this, it is incorporated into the list of municipalities in the maximum alert level for covid-19, in which are the cities of Orense and Santiago de Compostela, which register more than 120 and 112 cases confirmed by PCR, in the last seven days .

The other localities with a maximum level of pandemic alert for presenting more than 21 confirmed cases in the last seven days are Arteixo, Ames, O Barco, Verín, Monterrei, Pereiro de Aguiar, Barbadás and O Carballiño.

Meanwhile, in situation 2 –in the orange color of the ‘traffic light’ on the map– there are 17 municipalities, 13 of which repeat with respect to the previous day at the same level: Vigo, La Coruña, Pontevedra, Lugo, Ferrol, Oleiros, Culleredo, A Laracha, Porto do Son, Vilagarcía, Ribadavia, Celanova and Xinzo.

Likewise, the municipalities of Teo, Poio and Lobeira go from yellow to orange and the situation improves – from red to orange – in Tomiño. In the municipality of Marín, which this Tuesday was on an orange alert, it is already at level 1 – yellow.

The red level includes municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants with 21 or more new cases per week, while in the case of municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the detection of a rate of 112 or more cases a per week for every 100,000 inhabitants. The orange level includes municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants with 56 and 111 new cases of covid-19 per week per 100,000 inhabitants and in those with a smaller population with between 14 and 20 cases.
