Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat in the 2022 AFF Cup squad

Jakarta, CNNI Indonesia

Two new naturalized players, Sandy Walsh And Jordi Amatconfirmed in pink Indonesian national team in the 2022 AFF Cup.

This was revealed by PSSI General Chairman Mochamad Iriawan or Iwan Bule after taking the oath as Indonesian Citizens (WNI) that Sandy and Jordi underwent at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Jakarta on Thursday (17/11 ).

“God willing. If you go to the list of players of the national team [ke Piala AFF 2022] already entered, after if you play you must have permission. But if the name [Sandy dan Jordi] Shin Tae Yong entered it,” said Iwan Bule.

Initially, there were concerns that Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat would not be included in the Indonesia national team squad for the 2022 AFF Cup, which concludes on Sunday (20/11).

This is because PSSI has to take care of transferring the documents from the respective football associations to PSSI. The PSSI has to deal with the transfer of Sandy from the Dutch federation KNVB, while Jordi Amat from the Spanish federation RFEF.

Iwan Bule said PSSI would take swift steps to deal with the transfer of federations Sandy and Jordi, with the hope that the two can strengthen the Indonesian national team in the 2022 AFF Cup.

“Later we will also send a letter to FIFA regarding the transfer of the federation from Spain and the Netherlands to PSSI. We ask friends for prayers that this process is completed quickly so that we can strengthen our national team in AFF. But please be patient because the process must go through,” said Iwan Bule.

As for Shayne Pattynama, whose naturalization application was approved by the DPR plenary today, Iwan Bule cannot confirm that Shayne’s name will be included in the 2022 AFF Cup squad.

“Shayne Pattynama not yet, this is the first. He can follow it,” said Iwan Bule.
