Bad weather hit Egypt

Bad weather has covered the Egyptian Mediterranean coast, where heavy downpours and hurricane winds are raging.

Sandstorms, downpours and a hurricane hit the Egyptian Mediterranean coast. Because of the disaster, schools were closed in ten provinces of the country. On Saturday, November 20, reports Ahram Online.

It is reported that the downpours accompanied by a hurricane wind triggered a flood, due to which cars and food stalls went under water.

In Alexandria and a number of other cities, several streets were flooded, and the movement of cars was obstructed.

In addition, the city of Fayyum, located in an oasis 90 kilometers south-west of Cairo, experienced a sandstorm that obstructed visibility.

Cairo has also been affected by the rain front, but utilities in most areas have coped with the rainfall.

However, in Cairo and Giza, authorities canceled school classes on Sunday. Universities will decide on the issue of conducting classes individually.
