On June 2, 2021, Trinseo (Berwyn, Pennsylvania / USA) lifted the force majeure for SAN deliveries from the Terneuzen location in the Netherlands. The plant is now running at full load again, said a company representative. The sufficient supply of the preliminary product ACN is now ensured. Trinseo would still have to buy ACN on the spot markets.
The force majeure for ACN, which Ineos Nitriles declared a few months ago for production in Worringen, is still in place. However, the company learned that the system is in the process of restarting.
