San Diego to Convert Problematic Office Tower into Affordable Housing in $250M Deal

San Diego,CA – In a move aimed at addressing teh city’s affordable housing crisis and resolving a long-standing civic issue,San Diego is poised to lease the vacant 101 Ash St. office tower to developers MRK Partners and Create Dev LLC for a 60-year term. The ambitious plan involves a $250.3 million conversion of the asbestos-ridden building into 247 units of low-income housing, alongside retail space and a childcare center.
